Eli Gottesdiener
Eli Gottesdiener practiced law for more than 35 years, dedicating the final 25 years of his career to representing pension plan participants in complex ERISA class actions. He became widely recognized as one of the nation’s leading ERISA litigators, successfully prosecuting landmark pension and 401(k) cases against some of America’s largest corporations.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Gottesdiener spent five years defending Fortune 500 companies in commercial litigation and served for seven years as a trial lawyer with the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia.
He earned his law degree, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as an Associate Editor of The Georgetown Law Review. He also holds a Magistère from the Sorbonne (Université de Paris IV).
Current Activity
Eli Gottesdiener is now retired from the practice of law. In 2022, he founded Ascent Management, a commercial real estate platform focused on owning and managing multifamily assets. Under his leadership as Managing Partner, Ascent operates a portfolio of more than 600 apartment units across multiple states.
